Sprollie's Story

Sprollie, came from a farm, and had little experience of different environments and socialising with other dogs.  He was frightened of new experiences, new environments, new people, other dogs, etc, and this manifested itself in fear-based aggression.  I tried getting the help of various trainers and animal behaviour experts, but to no avail – Sprollie went from bad to worse – and I also made the situation worse by hiding from the problem – only taking him out at the crack of dawn or in the  dead of night – panicking if I saw another dog for fear that Sprollie would attack – his strength, driven by fear, meant that I could barely control him, and he regularly broke collars and leads with the strength of his pulling and lunging.  I was out of my mind with worry about what to do.  I eventually heard of Eric and Helen’s training class and methods – real training for the dog and the owner – based on a real understanding of the dog, the owner, and their relationship with each other.  I went along to a session with Eric and Helen, and, within ten minutes Sprollie was like a different dog – the real training Sprollie and I experienced was invaluable – it was real and powerfully effective – it gave me the confidence to be a good owner to Sprollie, and Sprollie started to have confidence and trust in me, and we are closer than ever.  I have confidence to take Sprollie out and about, into different situations and into different human and dog company – indeed, Sprollie is training hard at his agility clubs and will start competing at shows over the next few months.  Meeting Eric and Helen and implementing their training methods has changed Sprollie’s life – he now has the life that he deserves – they brought out the real dog in Sprollie, that was previously  just too frightened to cope with his new life.
